Nancy Lucille Crews, O'Quinn, 79, born 3 May 1922, of Folkston, died Wednesday, 14 Nov 2001, in the Bayview Nursing Home in Nahunta, following a long illness.
A native of Charlton County, she was a homemaker and a member of Church of God of Prophecy of Homeland.
She was the daughter of the late Everett Crews and Arie Carter Crews. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James David "J.D." O'Quinn, and two sisters, Jewell Youmans and Sindy Crews, and a brother, E.J. Crews.
She is survived by five children; Ronnie David O"Quinn (wife Sharon) of Nahunta, Donnie Chesser (wife Joe) and Charles O'Quinn (wife Wanda) of Folkston; Joann Madison of New Orleans, LA, and Connie Cornett (husband Larry) of Folkston; 15 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was held Thursday, Nov 16, at the Chambless Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Church of God of Prophesy in Homeland with the Rev. Fred Morgan and the Rev. Eldon Lewis officiating. Burial services were in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Michael Johns, Roy Ernest Crews, Greg O'Quinn, Jeffery O'Quinn, Tracy Chesser and Joseph Chesser.
Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
