Andrew G. Mercer, 53, born 22 Jun 1942, of Folkston, died, 20 Mar 1996, in the emergency room of Charlton Medical Center in Folkston.
A native of Polk County, FL, he was the son of Burma Mae Tolar Mercer of Auburndale, FL and the late E. Harmon Mercer. He had been in the U.S. Army. He had worked in the auto repair business in the paint and body shop.
Besides his mother, survivors are his wife, Mary Ellen Haney Mercer; a daughter, Kathy Mercer Westberry of Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren, Brandy Ellen Westberry and Elias Jacob Retama; a sister, Beverly Scott of Auburndale FL; two brothers, Joel and Ernest Mercer, both of Auburndale, FL.
Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Mar. 23, in the chapel of Chambless Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Manning officiating. Burial was in Bachlott Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Joel Mercer, Archie Crews, Kathy Westberry, Dick Minchew, Ronnie O'Quinn, and Steven Crews.
Chambless Funeral Home of Nahunta was in charge of arrangements.
