Wife of Edmund E Willard (per California death index, Western States Marriage Index showing marriage 24 Dec 1887 in Union County, Oregon, and Social Security application and claim index for son Clarence Willard); census records report Mary as widowed in 1900 and thereafter, but correlating her children's obituaries and Edmund Willard's obituary, it is clear that they were separated (later divorced) and that her former husband (obituary attached) is the same Edmund E Willard who also is buried in Willows Cemetery.

Note regarding name: the unusual spelling of Mary's middle name in this memorial is intentional, as that is how it is shown on the monument. No primary source record of her middle name has been found.
