A. J. Blanton, 82, for many years a passenger conductor for the Chesapeake and Ohio Railway, died last night at 10:55 o'clock at his home, 2408 Stuart Avenue.
Captain Blanton was born in Caroline County, Virginia, February 6, 1849. He is survived by a step-son, Richard A. Talley; step-daughter, Mrs. Virginia Blanton Kelse Jr. of Buffalo, N. Y.; brother, John Blanton, Summit, Va.; sister, Mrs. Vaughan of Fredericksburg.
