Mr. Adams was born in Darlington County, son of the late Kinchen and Daisey O'Neal Adams. He served his country with the United State Army and was a retired farmer. He worked at Sav-Way in Hartsville, where he was known as "Doc". He was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Betty Tyner Adams and son, Kenny Adams, both of Darlington; also, four sisters, Peggy Suggs, Eva Humphries, Margaret Moody, and Patricia Andrews, all of Darlington.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home and other times at the home of Dennis Tyner, 1332 Dovesville Highway, Darlington.
