Lamont- Rev. Charles Gibson, of this place, former chaplain of the Michigan Soldiers' Home, dropped dead on the third floor of the Houseman building in Grand Rapids at 6 o'clock Monday morning. He came down to the office to make out some pensions for an old soldier and was accompanying the man through the corridor when he staggered and without a word fell unconcious to the floor. Gibson was sixty years of age and leaves a widow and three sons. Paul lives with his mother in this place and Archibald and William are employed in Grand Rapids banking establishments.
Michigan Death Certificate states cause of death was chronic diarrhea and heart disease.
The Rev. C. K. Gibson, a Unitarian clergyman, late of Toronto, has lately moved to Lamont with his family. They reside in the late Mr. Perlee's house, Mrs. Gibson being Mr. Perlee's youngest daughter. Coopersville Observer, May 9, 1884. Tallmadge Township and Lamont by Boersma
