Died at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday at Plaquemine Sanitarium. He was 59 years old, native of Melville and resident of Port Allen. Body at Wilbert Funeral Home 10 a.m. to noon Wednesday. Religious services at St. Nathaniel Episcopal Church, Melville, at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Rev. Newton Griffith officiating. Interment in church cemetery.

Survivors include five sisters, Mrs. Ruel H. Lane, Texarkana, Tex., Mrs. Herbert White, Bunkie, Miss Anita Capps, Melville, Mrs. W. L. Hadden, Port Allen, and Mrs. T. D. Gildersleeve, Alexandria and two brothers, Fulton Capps, Addis and Hylton Capps, Old Tappan, N.J.

He was a member of the St. Nathaniel Episcopal Church, Melville.
