Irene Yewell Wagner, age 92, of Metropolis passed away June 28, 2012 at Metropolis Nursing & Rehab, Metropolis, IL.
She was born March 2, 1920 in Golconda, Illinois to Otto and Sarah (Cummins) Belford.
Irene was married to Kermit N. Yewell November 5, 1941; he preceded her on May 23, 1984.
She later married Wayne Wagner on December 12, 1985; he preceded her on August 20, 2004.
She was a member of Palestine Cumberland Presbyterian Church and a homemaker.
Irene is survived by a daughter, Joann and husband Gary Little of Grand Chain, IL; son, Johnny and wife Carolyn Yewell of Jacksonville, FL; five grandchildren, Kelvin Kunath, Jo Ellen Vidmar, Christi Perkins, Brandon Yewell, Nathan Yewell; seven great-grandchildren, Kelvin Kunath II, Kyle Kunath, Trevor Williams, Amber Davis, Amanda Davis, Taylor McKinley, Kendal McKinley.
In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Audrey Brown, Mary Davis, Ressie Billington; three brothers, Alvis Belford, Donald Belford, and Lloyd Belford.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm June 30, 2012 at Aly Funeral Home in Eddyville.
Burial will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1:00 pm until time of service.
