officiating. Burial was in Randolph Memory Gardens.
Mr. Waldrep died suddenly on Tuesday, April 17, at Randolph Medical Center in Roanoke.
A lifelong resident of Randolph County, he was born on Dec. 3, 1931, son of Dallas Eugene and Mittie Mickle Waldrep.
He had been employed at Amoco Fabrics and Fibers and was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Faye Waldrep of Roanoke; a son, Richard Allen Waldrep of Roanoke; two sisters, Agnes Smith of Pineville, La., and Janie Waldrep of Conyers, Ga.; two brothers, Wesley E. Waldrep of Columbia, S.C., and Tom Waldrep of Charleston, S.C.; a granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Bobby Durham, Roger White, Gregg Pennington, Phillip Daniel, Mike Potts and Ricky Webb.
Arrangements were by Quattlebaum Funeral Home, Roanoke.
