Mrs. Mary Stanley 65, well know resident of Audubon township, passed away at her home, five miles southeast of Nokomis, at 1:30 a.m., Tuesday March 5. She had been ill for the past three years, suffering with cancer.
The deceased was a daughter of W. S. and Sarah Agnew, and was born at Waterloo, Illinois, on August 28, 1869. She was united in marriage with Willis J. Stanley at New Hanover, Illinois, and came to the Nokomis community in 1899. At the time of her death Mrs. Stanley was aged 65 years, six months and seven days. Mr. Stanley died when his children were very young.
The following children survive their parents: Jesse W. and Henry W., who lived with the mother, Mrs. John Bruns of Rosamond, Mrs. Maurice Archibald, Nokomis.
