HILLSVILLE—-Delmer Tipton Frazier, 50, who resided in the Shorts Creek section, died unexpectedly in the office of Dr. J. Glenn Cox in Hillsville Wednesday, November 7, 1962. He was born in Carroll County May 9, 1912, to the late Rufus Tipton Frazier and wife, Mrs. Anza Nettie Edmonds Frazier.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Amanda Jane Frazier; three sons, Howard Pierce Frazier, Delmer Gray Frazier and Bernard Herman Frazier, all of Austinville; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Parnell, Austinville, and Mrs. Goldie Cloud, Hillsville; one daughter, Mrs. Omie Verlene Dalton, Austinville; one half-sister, Mrs. Clara Horton, Hillsville, and ten grandchildren. Funeral services were held at Shorts Creek Church of God Friday at 2:00 p.m. by the Rev. Hubert Austin and the Rev. O.S. Shreve. Interment was in the Parnell Cemetery. The body remained at Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Funeral Home, Hillsville, until removed to be placed in the church for the services.
