Mrs. O. V. Crawford
Rites Set Wednesday
Mrs. Orvillena Virginia Crawford, 69, resident of Nashville for the past 20 y ears, died last night at a local infirmary following an illness of several weeks.
She lived at 337 Chesterfield Avenue with her husband, J.A. Crawford, who is traffic supervisor for the Western Union telegraph Company.
Funeral services will be held at the Marshall Funeral Home at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon with the Rev. J.P. Sanders officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
The daughter of Maggie T. Omohundro and the late Dr. O.C. Omohundro, Mrs. Crawford was born and educated in Wilson County. She married in 1908, and they came to Nashville to make their home here in 1915.
She was a member of the Belmont Avenue Church of Christ, and also belonged to the United Daughters of the Confederacy and daughters of the American Revolution.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Crawford is survived by one son, Dr. John O. Crawford, and two grandchildren, John Wayne and Theresa Carol Crawford.
