Rosetta May Johnson, daughter of Basil Ray Campbell and Rose Marie (Drew) Bade, was born June 18, 1956, in Carmi, Illinois. As a young girl, Rosetta moved to Oilton, Oklahoma, where she graduated from high school. She furthered her education by obtaining her LPN license.

On December 22, 1991, Rosetta was united in marriage to Robert Lee Johnson. They shared over 20 years of marriage together and four children: Angela, Jacob, Ryan, and Callie.

Rosetta made a very important decision in her life and accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was baptized at Eureka Baptist Church of Richland and attended every chance she could.

Rosetta was a hardworking woman. She worked for the past 10 years as the school nurse for the Laquey School District. She loved children and enjoyed getting to take care of them at the school.

In her spare time, she loved to cook, read, and do crossword puzzles. You could often find her outside in her yard taking care of her flowers and garden. She was also very active in the Laquey PTO and was a troop leader for Girl Scout Troop #10967. Most importantly, she cherished those times spent with her family and friends.

Rosetta went home to be with the Lord Thursday, June 21, 2012, in her home after a short and courageous battle with cancer. She attained the age of 56 years and 3 days. She will be sadly missed by all those that knew and loved her.

Rosetta leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Robert Johnson of the home; four children: Angela Carter (Harold) of Cushing, OK, Jacob Prather (Christina) of Oilton, OK, Ryan Johnson and Callie Johnson of Laquey, MO: siblings: Rae Drew of Dixon, MO, Chrystall Smith (Gary) of Oilton, OK, and Donald Campbell (Debbie) of Laquey, MO; father: Ray Campbell of St. Robert, MO; mother: Rose Bade of Oilton, OK; four grandchildren; Josh, Mac, Wyatt, and Emily; several other relatives and friends.

Rosetta was preceded in death by her stepmother, Linda Campbell.

Services were held at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at Eureka Baptist Church, Richland, MO, with the Rev. Doug Jacobson officiating. Services were under the direction of Memorial Chapel of Waynesville/St. Robert/Richland.
