Miss Dora L. Morgan, age 83, of 425 North Marble Street, died Saturday, Sept. 9, in the local hospital. She was born August 16, 1906, in Polk County, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church and was a retired Goodyear employee with 33 years service. Miss Morgan was preceded in death by her parents, Julius A. and Annie Head Morgan. She is survived by two brothers, Homer Morgan, Jacksonville, Fla. and Willis Morgan, Rockmart; two sisters, Mrs. Alice Jackson, Yatesville and Miss Evelyn Morgan, Rockmart. The funeral service was held Sunday, Sept. 10 at 3 p.m. from the First Baptist Church with the Rev. David Taylor officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. The following nephews served as pallbearers: Barry Morgan, Paul Morgan, Jr., W. D. (Tippy) Morgan, Ralph Morgan, Bill Jackson and Glenn Head. The Freeman Harris Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
