Services for Mrs. Ilo R. Stech, 87, of Hamilton Grove Nursing Home, New Carlisle, who died at 10:40 a.m. Monday in the nursing home after a brief illness, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Kaniewski and Sons Funeral Home, with Ref. Fred Wintle officiating. Burial will be in Mishawaka City Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home. She was born on June 21, 1896, in the Marshall County community of Inwood, and lived in South Bend most of her life.
On Jan. 20, 1962, she married Felix S. Stech. He died on Feb. 4, 1981. She is survived by a son, Raymond Stout of North Liberty; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Doris E. Sandlin of South Bend; a stepson, Roland Stech of San Jose, Calif.; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Edith Garey of Grand Rapids, Mich.
