LEHI—Mrs. Kate Jones Allred, 81, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Odessa Cullimore of Provo, Thursday night, following a four week illness of influenza and heart disease.

She was born July 17, 1854, in Salt Lake City, a daughter of John Markland and Elizabeth Smith Mulliner Jones. She was married to James H. Allred June 16, 1873, in the old L. D. S. endowment house at Salt Lake City.

She was an active member of the L. D. S. church and served as Relief society president for many years. She worked in the Salt Lake City L. D. S. temple during the last 12 years.

Surviving are her husband and the following sons and daughters: J. Urban and Clarence Allred, Raymond, Alberta, Canada; John G., Rodney C. and Aaron Allred, Lehi; Mrs. Minerva Wade, Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Odessa Cullimore, Provo; also 45 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and a brother and two sisters, Edward Jones, Mrs. Charles Howe and Mrs. Lou Driggz, Salt Lake City.

Funeral services will be held in the Lehi L. D. S. Second ward chapel Monday at 2 p. m. with burial in the City cemetery.
