Mrs. Remus was born on Nov. 27, 1919, in Terry to Harold and Jessie Dersham. Her mother died when Mrs. Remus was 11 years of age and her father married Helen Dersham, who was the teacher at their school. They lived on a ranch in Terry.
After high school, Mrs. Remus went to beauty school and became a hair stylist. She owned and operated her hair salon in her home for many years.
She married Mr. Hardesty in 1936 and had one son, Gene, who died in 1997.
She married Johnnie Ross Sr. in October of 1942 in Forsyth. They were married for 20 years. Her survivors include three sons and their families: Michael H. Ross of Miles City, Johnnie M. Ross Jr. (Virginia) of Beaverton, Ore., and Douglas Ross (Madeline) of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She married Hugh Remus in Billings. Mr. Remus died in 1995.
Mrs. Remus loved her sons dearly and they were the center of her life. She would do anything to help them. She loved riding horses and had two horses, "Dusty and Buck," at the ranch that her father and step-mother owned. She loved to draw and paint and often drew pictures of her horses and the landscape around the ranch. She sang in the church choir in Miles City at the First Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her sisters, Norma McGraw and Eunice St. Arnaud; and her brother, Artie Dersham.
A family get together will take place later in July. She will be laid to rest near her parents in Terry.

Dersham - Hardesty
Miss Agnes Dersham, daughter of Mr and Mrs Harold Dersham and Ellsworth Hardesty, son of Mr and Mrs Gus Hardesty, were quietly married on Friday, June 26, at Sidney. The marriage occurring about 8:30 pm.
The were married by the Rev J D Smith, pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church of Sidney, the ceremony taking place at the parsonage. Miss Ione Burton of Terry accompanied the couple and was a witness to the ceremony.
Both young people are popular members of the younger set in Terry and have many friends who are offering them congratulations.
Mr Hardesty graduated with the class of '36 from Terry High School, and Mrs Hardesty was a member of the junior class the past year. They are planning to made their home in Terry.
