Irwin E. DeLong died early Tuesday morning at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Butz, Fogelsville. He was 69 years of age. Born in Lenhartsville, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Amanda, nee Dorward, DeLong. A retired farmer, he had resided in Fogelsville with his daughter for the past four years. His wife, the late Verna [Bertha] Briesch DeLong, preceded him in death. Surviving are two sons: Melvin N. DeLong and Irwin R. DeLong, Allentown; two daughters: Mrs. Madelon Hall, Bethlehem, and Mrs. Franklin [Viola] Butz, with whom he resided; a sister, Carrie DeLong, Reading; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
