Edmund W. Ward of 62 South Century Street in Memphis, TN, retired Federal Government veterinarian, died at 8:15, last night, April 13, at Methodist Hospital where he had been a patient for several days. He was 92.
Mr. Ward was born in London, England and came to this country 62 years ago. He served as veterinarian at National Stockyards in East St. Louis, IL. until his retirement 27 years ago. He moved to Memphis 15 years ago after the death of his wife.
He had spent 49 years in the Masonic order and was a 32nd degree Mason and a Shriner. He was a Lutheran.
He leaves two sons, W.E. Ward of Memphis and R.I. Ward of of San Marino, CA; a daughter, Mrs. Edna Malone of Rockford, IL; a brother, Ernie Ward of London; a sister, Mrs. Gertrude Wright of Singapore; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
