Thomas Adgate, 2nd (b. 1669-70), married (1) in 1692, Ruth, daughter of Benjamin and Anna (Dart) Brewster. His wife died in 1734, and he married (2) in 1749, Elizabeth (Morgan) Starr, widow of Capt. Jonathan Starr of Groton, and daugther of Capt. James Morgan. After his father's [Thomas Adgate, Sr] death, Thomas occupied the house and home-lot, and also succeeded his father as deacon, holding the office until his death in 1760, aged 91. His widow died in 1763.
