Lloyd W Young, 85, a retired Parks Superintendent and farmer, died November 21, 1993, at Saint George, Utah, of natural causes.

He was born February 24, 1908, at Goshen, to Royal John and Elizabeth Louisa Wilcox Young. He attended schools in Firth and Shelley and worked on the family farm. Later her purchased his own farm Near Thomas.

On November 9, 1927, he married Verna Cook in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. She died January 24, 1974. He married Lucille Benson Anderson on June 29, 1974 at Riverton. After selling his farm, he worked as the Blackfoot Park Superintendent for nine years. As an active member of the LODS Church he served as High Priest Group Leader. He was an avid Scout Leader and enjoyed doing temple work, fishing, hunting and reading.

Survivors include his wife of Saint George; children, Kenneth L Young of Blackfoot, Richard J Young of Layton, Utah, Shirley (LaMonte) Merritt of Afton, Wyoming, Norma (Bruce) Evans of Riverside, Florence (Richard) McMullin of Enterprise, Utah, Geraldine (Richard) Fox of Dayton Beach, Florida; step children, Dean B Anderson of Mackay, Donald D Anderson of Los Vegas, Roland H Anderson and Deon R Anderson, both of Grace, and Jean (Ronald) Sommercorn of Moreland; two brothers, Wendall Young of Rupert, Ferra Young of Taylorsville; fifty two grand children; and thirty four great grandchildren. He was proceeded in death by three step children, two brothers and three sisters.

Burial was in the Fielding Cemetery.
