Born in Effort, he was a son of the late W. Roland and Sadie (Kindred) Dorshimer.
He was a member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Trachsville.
Surviving with his widow are a daughter Arlene, wife of William M. Roth III; a son LeRoy; a sister Myrtle, wife of Arnold Eschenbock of Orange, Texas; a brother Earl of Palmerton; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the T.K. Thomas Funeral Home, 145 Delaware Ave., Palmerton. A calling hour will precede the services.
