Funeral services for Diann Basham Gosdin will be held Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Taylor Baptist Church in Taylor. Officiating will be Rev. Jimmy Eppinette. Interment will follow at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 25, 2012 at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Diann was born April 14, 1951 in Shreveport and entered into rest June 21, 2012. Diann's passion was cooking, reading, writing, and spending time with her grandchildren, who were her life. Diann recently retired from the State of Louisiana Support Enforcement Services, and was currently enjoying being Nana to her four grandchildren. Nana loved them and her friends. She was the most giving, loving, considerate person who always had a listening ear. Her favorite quote was "Dance like nobody's watching."
Her father John Basham preceded her in death.
She is survived by her mother Marie Walker Basham of Taylor, sons Ryan Gosdin and wife Dawn of Bossier City, Pat Gosdin of Shreveport, daughter Phoebe Purvis and husband Chris of Taylor, brother Mike Basham and wife Donna of Taylor, grandchildren Peyton Gosdin, Logan Gosdin, Gracie Purvis, Carson Purvis, nephews Jason Basham and Haley, Kevin Basham and Brittani, and great nieces Taylor, Kendal, and Jeri Basham.
