Robert Robinson was born in Randolph County, Indiana, December 22, 1837 and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Ida Burdick of Norfolk, on April 20, 1924 at the age of 86 years, 3 months and 28 days. His death being due to paralysis.
On April 7, 1861 he was united in marriage to Mary Jane Woodward at Oskaloose, Iowa. To this union nine children were born, three of whom are living: Mrs. U.N. Ellis of Creighton, Mrs. Ida Burdick of Norfolk, and Mrs. C. W. Bird of Van Tassel, Wyoming.
They moved to Knox County in the spring of 1889, where they have resided until the present time. At age of 27 he united with the Friends Church and has been a faithful member ever since.
Besides his wife and three daughters, he leaves to mourn his loss, one sister: Mrs. W.J. Reed of Des Moines, Iowa, seventeen grand children and fifteen great grand children and many other relatives and friends.
Mr. Robinson will be remembered by Creighton friends as a good-natured man and one who made friends and was always jolly and friendly to everybody. He was always honorable.
