Mrs. Gus (Alma) W.L. Krohn, 72, died Oct. 6 at the Plainview hospital following a short illness. Funeral services were held Oct. 9 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Plainview with the Rev. Milburn Franke officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery at Creighton. Pallbearers were Marvin Krohn, Norman Hansen, Raymond Krohn, Arnold Koertje, William Wiese and Harlan Koertje.

Alma Wiese was born Nov. 20, 1894 at Bennington to Ferdinand and Minna Wiese. When a small child she moved with her parents to a farm northwest of Osmond where she spent her childhood and received her education. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

In 1914 she moved with her parents to Bloomfield. She was married to Gus Krohn there on Jan. 27, 1915. Five daughters and three sons were born to them. They spent their married life on farms at Osmond, Bloomfield, Creighton and Niobrara. They retired in 1952 and moved into Plainview.

After the death of her husband in 1969 she had spent the past 4 and 1/2 years at Plainview Manor.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Lucille) Sierk of Gaza, Ia., Mrs. LeRoy (Sylvia) McKown of Creighton, Mrs. Henry (Shirley ) Minarik of Niobrara and Mrs. Richard (Arnieta) Eaton of Escondido, Calif.; three sons, Warner of Ulysses, Willard and Wesley of Lincoln; 23 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Koertje and V.E. (Frieda) Clausen of Bloomfield and Mrs. Wilma Hansen of Norfolk and two brothers, Rudolph of Bloomfield and Reinhold of Wausa.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Harold (Berniece) Clark in 1959 and a grandson in 1951.
