His funeral will be held at noon Thursday, April 24, 2008, at Marvin United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jim Tate officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to noon at Marvin United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall, prior to the funeral.
Mr. Biggerstaff was born Feb. 23, 1917, in Lincoln County and was the son of the late Clayburn C. and Sallie Michael Biggerstaff.
He also was preceded in death by his wife, Grace W. Biggerstaff.
Mr. Biggerstaff retired from the North Carolina Department of Transportation and was a cattle farmer.
Survivors include one son, Richard W. Biggerstaff of Maiden; one grandson, Steve Biggerstaff of Maiden; and one great-grandson, Kyle Biggerstaff of Maiden.
