Charles Walker (Walk) Dulin, 89, City, died died Monday evening, May 28, after a brief illness.

He was an oil well driller for many years, mostly in the Burning Springs area, and also worked in fields in Ritchie and Roane Counties. He was also a farmer on Chestnut Run , where he and Mrs. Dulin raised their family. He was a member of the Owl Hill Methodist Church, and of Burning Springs Lodge No. 132, A.F. & A. M. He served as superintendent of the Owl Hill Sunday School for about 20 years.

Born November 8, 1872, in Wirt County, he was a son of he late Alfred F. and Lizzie Redding Dulin.

He married Elizabeth May Gibson on December 25, 1895, who survives.

Other survivors are two sons, Walter W.Dulin and Jasper Dulin, City; two daughters, Mrs. Mamie Dotson, Rt.4, City and Mrs. Elsie Mays, Roseland, Va.;nine grandchildren; and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Deever, Rt.1, Petroleum.

Mr. Dulin was preceded in death by a son, Cecil, in 1930.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. from the chapel of the Pomroy Funeral Home, City, with the Rev. Paul Higgins of Rockport officiating. Burial was in the Elizabeth K. of P. Cemetery.

Graveside rites were conducted by members of the Masonic Lodge.
