He was born at Ellenville on Sept. 3, 1889, son of Ferdinand and Mary Boat Eck. He married Charity A. Burger in Accord Nov. 9, 1935.
He owned and operated a taxi service in Ellenville for many years. He served in the U.S. Army in World War I.
Surviving besides his widow are two brothers, William and Henry Eck; three sisters, Mrs. Jack Wynkoop, Mrs. Calvin Morse and Mrs. Laura Townsend, all of Ellenville; and several great-nieces and nephews.
The Rev. George H. Winn will officiate at funeral services. Burial will be in Fantinekill Cemetery, Ellenville.
