Evelyn Shannon Clinton, 74, of Chattanooga died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2001, in a local hospital.
A lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Ms. Clinton was of the Church of God faith. She was a retired nurse's aide of more than 15 years at both Mountain View Nursing Home and Parkwood Nursing Home.
Survivors include her father, Milton Jordan, Jasper, Tenn.; son, Clarence E. Clinton, Chattanooga; daughter, Sharon Wallace, East Ridge; brother, Billy Jordan, Red Bank; sisters, Velma Brooks, Joyce Horne, Chattanooga, Dorothy Owens, Jasper; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Dodds Avenue Chapel.
Burial will follow in Silverdale Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5-9 p.m. at the Dodds Avenue Chapel of Turner Funeral Homes.
