John Thomas Driggers was the first born child of John Thomas Driggers Sr. (AKA Jack Dennis Poole) and Margaret Helen Soete Driggers. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio while the family was residing in a rented home on Ross Avenue in the Price Hill section of Cincinnati, Ohio. The family later moved to a farm in Delhi Hills after his father returned home from serving in the Navy during WW II. The farm was owned by Joe and Addie Robben. Joe was the son of one of the early pioneer families of Delhi Township, Anthony and Bernadina Robben. The Robben family donated the property where St Dominic Church stands today.
John attended elementary school at St. Dominic and later attended Elder high school.
His first jobs were working for his father in his grocery stores and later in retail footwear stores. He worked for Marmer Shoes and later for Potter shoes. He joined the Asbestos Workers and Insulators Union in 1964 upon the urging of his cousins. On February 20th of 1965 he was married to Geraldine Greiner in Cincinnati, Ohio. The couple had 5 children: Christine Marie, Carol Lynn, Cathy Ann, Cheryl Lynn and Carey Nancy.

John was an avid fisherman and loved farming. He passed away in 2007 following complications from lymphoma and asbestos related disease. There was a mass of Christian Burial at St. Charles Church in Milan followed by internment at the St. Charles section of Craven Cemetery located on route 101 outside of Milan, Indiana.
