George Lineberry was the son of the Jacob Lineberry and wife Mary Fanning Lineberry. Jacob came to Grayson/Carroll County about 1790 from Randolph Co, NC.
George married Nancy Evans daughter of William and Elizabeth Betsy Harmon.

The are no names on the marker which only bears the name LINEBERRY - it was placed by their son Adonijah Lineberry sometime around 1910. Family tradition is that son William (who died in 1850 of a gun shot accident and daughter Luraney who died in childbirth are also buried here.
