Lucy Cox Watson, 92, formerly of Elaine Avenue, died March 29, 2001.

Born in Greenville County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Manning and Mary Blakely Cox, and the widow of Thomas James Watson.

She was a graduate of Greenville Women's College.

She was a school teacher for 22 years with Greenville County School System and taught first grade at Fairview Elementary School for 20 years.

Mrs. Watson was a member of White Oak Baptist Church and the Fannie Gwinn Sunday School Class.

Surviving are sons, David Lee Watson and his wife, June, of Travelers Rest, and Thomas James Watson Jr. and his wife, Diane W., of Greer; grandchildren, Patrick Watson and his wife, Lynda, Travis Watson and his wife, Tanya, Rhett Watson and his wife, Molly, and Jeremy Watson; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. today at The Mackey Mortuary, 311 Century Drive, with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Albert Allen will officiate.

Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. today at the mortuary.
