Funeral for John Calvin (Jack) Morrison, who died Saturday, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Rowland Presbyterian Church. This was a change in the 2 p.m. time set for today due to relatives not being able to arrive in time.
Officating will be Charles J. Hollingsworth, Dr. R. F. Sloop and Rev. Venus Brooks. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Cemetery in Lumberton.
He was manager of Pembroke Furniture Company, and a member and elder of First Presbyterian Church of Lumberton.
The family requested that, in lieu of flowers, memorial offerings be made to the Lumberton Presbyterian Chapel.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Maggie Inman Morrison; two daughters, Mrs. Jack Pait, Jr., of Lumberton and Mrs. Jerry Walters of Murfeesboro, Ill.; one stepson, John Wesley Ward III of Laurinburg; one step-daughter, Mrs. John L. Emlet of New Orleans, La.; two brothers, H. D. Morrison and D. J. Watson, both of Rowland; one stepbrother, Harvey Watson of Rowland; two sisters, Mrs. Boyd L. Atkinson of Raleigh and Mrs. R. A. Jones, Jr., of Norfolk, Va.; two stepsisters, Mrs. I. L. Johnson of Rowland and Mrs. S. T. Robinson of Gastonia; six grandchildren.
