Chico Enterprise Record, December 11, 1965: "Mrs. Annie B. Richardson, well-known as a hand weaver of rag rugs, died Thursday night at the Chico Convalescent Hospital after a long illness. She was born Jan. 16, 1890 at Bangor, the daughter of Stephen T. and Sarah Smith. Her entire life had been spent in Oroville and Chico. She made her home at 1242 Bidwell Ave., for many years. Survivors include a son, Larry of Chico; a daughter, Betty J. Watenpaugh of Taylorsville, and four grandchildren. Interment of ashes was in the Smith family cemetery, following cremation at the Chico Crematory."
