Mr. Adams was born on November 26, 1927 in St. Louis, Mo and passed away June 16, 2012 in Bossier City, LA.
Gordon was the second of eleven children born to Olan and Mildred Adams. The family moved to Northeast Arkansas at an early age where he graduated from Walcott High School. Following graduation he entered the Air Force and served more than twenty six years as a Combat Crew member in Strategic Air Command (SAC) flying B-17's, RB-29's, RB-36's, KC-97's, and KC-135's. His military service included time in WW II, Korea, and Southeast Asia. Following his military retirement he worked for twenty years as an Insurance Claims Adjuster.
Shirlee, his wife of over fifty years, preceded him in death. Also preceding him were four brothers, Glen, Hulan, J.C., and Roy.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law; two sons and and daughters-in-law three sisters; three brothers and two sisters-in-law; six grandchildren; also three great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the staff at the Arbor of Bossier for their years of taking care of Gordon. Also thank you to Regional Hospice Care, for your care and support.
