EL PASO, IL -- Dorothy Adeline Stack 72, Aurora, IL, formerly of El Paso, IL, died yesterday Nov 19, 1985 at Yorkville, IL after a long illness.
Her funeral will be att 11 a.m. Friday at New England Congregational Church, Aurora, IL. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Thursday at Healy Funeral Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora, IL.
Mrs. Stack was born Jan 28, 1913, near Wyman, Iowa, a daughter of Carl and Mabel Harrison Harmon. She married William M. Stack in 1939 in El Paso. He did May 11, 1969.
Survivors include her mother, Rochelle; three sons, David, Missoula, MT; Mark Cortez, CO; and Brian, Salisbury, MD; two daughters, Anne Alberts, Rochelle, and Mary Pelhank, Ringwood, NJ; and seven grandchildren.
A Sister preceded her in death.
Mrs. Stack taught grade school in El Paso before her marriage. She graduated from Illinois State University in 1934. She was ISU's women's single tennis champion from 1930-34.
She was member of Aurora Area University Women, the ISU Half Centruy Club and the ISU Foundation.
Memorials may be made to the AAUW scholarship fund established in her name.
