Janice Meredith Beane, 85, of St. Albans died Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Dunbar Care and Rehab Center, Dunbar.
She was born October 31, 1924 in Quinwood, WV, a daughter of the late Carl Sr. and Hazel McClure Shannon.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Gilbia Beane Jr.;
brother, Glen Shannon;
sister, Bobbi Hensley.

Mrs. Beane was retired as an LPN from Thomas Memorial Hospital with twenty-five years service and was a member of the Church of God.

She is survived by
a son, Alfred Glen Beane;
a daughter Rebecca Rojean Beane both of St. Albans; grandson Alfred Glen Beane, Jr, of St. Albans; granddaughter Meridith Ann Stevens of Charleston;
three great grandchildren, Kelly Stevens, Ernie Lee Stevens and Charlie Beane;
a brother Carl Shannon of Melbourne, FL.

Funeral service at the Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans. Burial in the Teays Hill Cemetery, St. Albans.
