Alice A.S. Sudbury

Mrs. Alice Arundell Sansom Sudberry, 69, wife of Samuel C. Sudbury, Salt Lake County farmer and livestock raiser, died at her residence in Brighton, Saturday at 8 p.m. of carcinoma. Mrs. Sudbury, formerly a member of the Twentieth Ward L.D.S. Church, was born in Salt Lake, October 10, 1861. She was the daughter of Charles and Mary Ann Lewis Sansom, Utah pioneers of 1852. She was married to Mr. Sudburry on October 13, 1881, in the Endowment House, and in 1886 the couple made their home in Brighton. Mrs. Sudbury is survived by her husband and eight children: Mrs. Alice E. Lewis, Frederick J. Sudbury and Mrs. Marq K. Tietrella, of Salt Lake; Albert C. Sudberry, Mrs. Emily L. Harding and Benjamin G. Sudbury, of Magna; Samuel A. Sudbury and Louis W. Sudbury, of Brighton; 27 grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Sarah J. Sherriff, Mrs. Elizabeth H. Barnes and Mrs. Ida Davies, all of Salt Lake, and a brother, Benjamin Sansom, of Taylorsville.
