Martin E. Adams, 52, died Sunday, he was a barber for 37 years and a veteran of World War 1. He barbered in Hammond for 18 years. A native of Liverpool in St. Helena parish. His wife was the former Miss Annie Ruth Porter, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Porter of Hammond. Funeral was Tuesday; interment in Greenlawn cemetery. Pallbearers included nephews, Moody Adams, Clayton Adams, Troy and Price Adams, "Tap" and C. J. Yarbrough. Other surviors include his widow; two brothers, John of Kentwood and Ewell of Greensburg; three sisters, Mrs. Lem Yarbrough of Kentwood, Mrs. Bales and Mrs. Rhoden of Liverpool.
