ROY - Mom passed away peacefully Monday at her home in Roy, Utah. She was the youngest and sole survivor of 11 children. She and her twin sister, Aline, were delivered on the kitchen table of their home in Clinton, Utah to Martha Louise Child and Charles Edward Evans.

She is reunited again with her husband and eternal companion of 68 years, Lyman S. Freestone. They were married on April 9, 1942 in Plain City, Utah and sealed in the Los Angeles Temple on December 30, 1969.

Arline was the mother of three children, Lyman J. and wife Connie of Clinton, LaVon (Bonnie) Bright of San Dimas, CA and Dixie Patterson of La Verne, CA. She was extremely proud of her eight grandchildren: Shelly (Kevin) Bitton, David (Janet) Freestone, Tina Sorrells, Rebecca (Wil) DeHart, Shane (Heather) Patterson, Tamara, Cody, and Hayley Patterson; she had 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Arline was a lifelong active member of the LDS Church, sharing the gospel through teaching and leadership while holding and serving many positions in Clinton, West Covina, CA and Roy. She enjoyed her years as a substitute teacher and as a bus aide for the special needs children in the Davis School District.

Some of Mom's favorite memories were riding with "The Boots n' Saddles", bowling with the senior friends. She enjoyed camping and fishing with family & friends and their membership at the Ogden Boat Club. She was an avid BYU & Jazz fan.

Mom was preceded in death by Dad, granddaughter, Tina Sorrels and her parents and ten brothers and sisters.

The Family would like to express our appreciation to her wonderful neighbors and members of the Foxglen Ward and also CNS Hospice (Sean) for their loving care.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 11:00 at Myers Mortuary, 5865 S. 1900 W. Roy, UT. A viewing will be held Friday, June 22nd from 6 to 8 pm and Saturday from 9:45 to 10:45 am prior to service.
