Lillie Serepta Sutherland, 247 S. 2nd. St., Cottage Grove, passed away at her home Wednesday, February 2, 1965 at the age of 85. She was born at London February 25, 1879 and had lived her entire life in this area. On September 11, 1898 she was married at London to George F. Sutherland who preceded her in death in 1953. Mrs. Sutherland was a lifelong member of the London Church of Christ. Surviving her are 2 daughters, Mrs. Wilma Olds, Cottage Grove, Mrs. Myrtle Miller of Tucson, Arizona; 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Mrs. Ann Adams, Cottage Grove and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at the London Church of Christ, Friday, February 5, 1965 at 1:30 p.m. Mr. Henry Goertzin of Sutherlin will officiate with interment in Bemis Cemetery. Mills Mortuary of Cottage Grove in charge.
