Dorothy J. "Dot" (Alley) Cameron, 70 of Naples, FL and Newburyport, MA. passed away surrounded by her loving family after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Lynn, MA to Clarence and Alberta (Ellison) Alley. Dot first worked as a secretary for Fireman's Fund Insurance Co., in Boston and John McCarthy Insurance Agency in Lynn. Later she worked at Star Market in Beverly; at Triton Regional High School in Byfield, MA for many years and then at White Hen Pantry in Newburyport, MA.
Dot's greatest joy in life was her family especially her five grandchildren. Dot is survived by her loving husband of 46 years, Richard also of Naples, FL and Newburyport, MA. She is survived by her two daughters and their spouses and her five grandchildren. She is also survived by her two sisters and one brother and their spouses and many nieces and nephews. Dot was predeceased by her parents; her brother Brian; and sisters, Mildred Armao, Brenda and Karen Alley. Funeral services will be held in the Solimine, Landergan & Richardson Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, Lynn, MA. Interment will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Lynn, MA.
