Mrs. Deborah Gifford McLane
Mrs. Deborah Gifford McLane, widow of the late Thomas J. McLane, died, after a short illness, at her home on Gifford Street, Falmouth, on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 28th. Born in Falmouth, the daughter of Thomas D. and Rebecca Gifford, Mrs. McLane had spent her entire life in this town. She was 71 years of age. The only surviving immediate relatives are two brothers, Mr. Rufus S. Gifford of Lowell, who was ill at his home and prevented from being here for the funeral; and Henry Hooker Gifford of Gifford Street.
The funeral services were held on, Monday afternoon, Jan. 30, at two o'clock at the home of her brother H.H. Gifford, the Rev. Henry Herbert Smythe, old friend of the family, officiating.
Relatives coming from out of town for the funeral services included Mrs. Ernest Gifford of Wayland, Miss. Ellen Gifford, Mr. Walter Gifford and Mr. Richard Gifford, all of Boston.
