“Baby Son of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Cleveland Dies”
George Cleveland, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Ora Cleveland of Mokane, died at the family home in the west part of town Saturday afternoon about 4 o'clock after a short illness. Funeral services were held at the home Monday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock by Rev. C.E. Robinson, pastor of the Mokane Christian church, and burial took place in the Middle River cemetery. Prayer was offered at the graveside by Mrs. Cleveland's brother, Rev. G.B. Case, pastor of the Baptist church at Cedar City.
The funeral service, though simple, was very impressive. Four small boys, James Gregory, Deneen Bryan, Billy Case and Billy Scott, acted as pallbearers, while little Misses Dorothy Vivien Tarleton, Winona Bried, Jean Dearing and Marie Krebs were flower girls.
Little George was not quite two years of age, yet during his brief life he had greatly endeared himself to all with whom he came in contact. Besides his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Cleveland, he is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Donald, of New Franklin, Hulbert, Glenn and Miss Zona, of Kansas City; Russell of St. Louis; Miss Martha, Forrest, Elmo, C.B., and Carroll, all living at their parents home here.
The Missourian joins other friends in extending sympathy to the bereaved family
