Billy Raymond Vining, 15, who would have been an eighth grade student in Parker School, died Monday at the Samaritan Hospital in Brooklyn, N.Y., following an extended illness. He had been visiting his brother, Robert Vining, in Brooklyn when he was stricken ill with leukemia last summer.

The youth is survived by his father, Lloyd Vining, Parker; his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Franks, Portland; two brothers, Robert, Brooklyn, and Jack Duane, at home; and a sister, Mrs. Granville Caldwell, Muncie.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Parker Methodist Church, a change from the original plans to hold services at the Thornburg Funeral Home. Rev. J. Robert Boggs Jr., will officiate and burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. Thursday to noon Friday, and at the church an hour before services.
