KINGSLEY - Donna Arlt, 82, of Kingsley, died Sunday, May 9, 2004, at Bortz Health Care in Traverse City.
She was born in Summit City on Aug. 21, 1921, to Jessie and Bessie (Barratt) Hudson. On Oct. 28, 1940, she married Walter Arlt in Cadillac. He preceded her in death on April 23, 1990.
Donna was a resident of Kingsley all of her life. She was a homemaker and helpmate to her husband. A member of the Farm Bureau, she was an honorary member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Cadillac, and was a charter member of the St. Johannas Lutheran Church in Kingsley and was also a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mesick.
Donna is survived by a son, Charles Arlt of Wyoming; two daughters, Garnet (Russell) Dwyer of Mesick and Frances (Ralph) Clouser of Lowell; a daughter-in-law, Mona Arlt of Traverse City; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Walter, she was preceded in death by a son, Dwaine, on March 23, 2004; five brothers, Ralph, Robert, Carl, Claire and Allen; three sisters, Audrey Arlt, Leona Stauffer and Evelyn Christianson; and two grandchildren, Donna and Phillip Arlt.
Visitation will take place Tuesday, May 11, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at Hall Funeral Chapel in Manton.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 12, at Faith Lutheran Church in Mesick. Pastor Kelly Todd will officiate. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Kingsley.
