Frances Hayne Anderson Burnett, 78, of Rolling Green Village, died Monday, Aug. 27, 2001.

A native of Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Jean Dodson and Calvin Clement Anderson.

She attended Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Va. and graduated from Furman University. She is a present member of John Knox Presbyterian Church and was a life-long member of First Presbyterian Church of Greenville. She was retired from Leisderdorf and Goldsmith Co. She was a member of the Society of First Families of South Carolina, and the John Boswell Chapter of Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels for many years.

Surviving is one sister, Jeanette Anderson Botts Snoddy of Greer; one nephew, William H. Botts Jr. of Naples, Fla.; one niece, Jean Botts Fell of Bloomington, Ind.; one great-niece, Anne Fell; and one great-nephew, Thomas Fell.

She was predeceased by her husband, Jess M. Burnett.

Graveside services will be Thursday, 11 a.m. in Woodlawn Memorial Park, conducted by the Rev. John Brearley.

Visitation will be at The Wood Mortuary at 10 a.m. Thursday.

The family is at the home of her sister, Jeanette Snoddy, 215 Finley Ave., Greer, SC 29651.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Meals on Wheels, 15 Oregon St., Greenville, SC 299605.
