Faye Swaringen, 93, of Dickens, died Friday, February 3, 2006 in Spur. Services were 2 PM, Sunday, February 5, 2006 at Dickens Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Henderson officiating. Burial was in Dickens Cemetery under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home.
Mrs. Swaringen was born October 16, 1912 in Hartshorne, OK to J.T. and Katie Pierce Spears. She was a graduate of Matador High School. She married Claud Swaringen on July 2, 1931 in Roaring Springs. He preceded her in death in 1997. She had been a resident of Dickens since 1941. She was a homemaker and a member of Dickens Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by two sons, Cristol Swaringen of Dickens and Grady Swaringen of Graham; one daughter, Betty Evans of Rowlett; seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and 15 great great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Dickens Cemetery Association, P.O. Box 207, Dickens, TX 79229, or your favorite charity.
