DECATUR- Funeral services for Faye Rigdon Chaney will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, at Newton County Funeral Home - South Chapel with Bro. Justin Chaney, Bro. Jackie Strebeck, and Bro. Mark McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Lebanon Cemetery. Newton County Funeral Home South is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Chaney, 83, of Decatur, died Thursday, June 14, 2012 at her home. She was a Newton County native and a charter member of Grace United Baptist Church. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and her late husband, enjoyed traveling and camping with their friends.
Survivors include: two daughters: Julia Strebeck, and her husband, Bro. Jackie Strebeck, of Hickory; and Patsy Holyfield, and her husband, John, of Little Rock; one son: Eugene Chaney, and his wife, Wanda, of Decatur; grandchildren: Jeremy Chaney and his wife Brandi; Bro. Justin Chaney and his wife Jessica; Jennifer Moseley, and her husband, Brandon; Jessica Cooley, and her husband, Aaron; Michael Holyfield, and his wife, Karen; and Jenny Holyfield ; nine great-grandchildren; two sisters: Ruth Holt of Decatur and Marie Birch Artesia, NM She was preceded in death by her husband: Henry Grady Chaney; her father: George Allen Rigdon; and her mother: Virgie Overstreet Williams. Pallbearers will be Jeremy Chaney, Bro. Justin Chaney, Michael Holyfield, John Holyfield, Brandon Moseley, Aaron Cooley, Jerry Chaney, and Paul Frink.Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Cooley, Peyton Chaney, Mason Cooley, Parker Chaney, Bethany Chaney, Jace Chaney, Harrison Chaney, Hank Holyfield, Hayden Holyfield, J.R.
