Miss Athey was born in Columbus, a daughter of Thomas A & Esther I Booth Athey.
She was a graduate of Coshocton High School and had been a former secretary at the American Art Works for 42 years.
She was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, Alpha Pi Sigma Sorority and Women of the Moose.
Surviving is a brother, Thomas A Athey, and a sister, Mrs. Archie W Jennings, both of Coshocton. One brother is deceased.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the glass Funeral Home by Rev. Aaron Cunningham. Burial will be in South Lawn Cemetery.
